It’s been quite a while since there’s been any real update to the site, so today you get not one, not two, but three sets of photos and some info about Mr. Eli (or King Eli as some like to call him). First up, the pictures…

The first set is just some miscellaneous pictures that have been taken since the last set of pictures were posted. Various images of Eli and Rory, and one of a curiously named toy. There’s also a picture that proves that we do actually have grass in our backyard once again! Click here for that set.

Next up are a few shots of Rory’s gymnastics meet several weeks ago. You can see some super cheeseball antics and meet two of Rory’s best friends. Click here for the three amigos.

Finally, we went down to Wendi’s family’s campgrounds for a few hours on July 3rd. Rory did some swimming in the river and then had a delicious meal of hotdogs and water, using the finest china. Click here to camp out.

The biggest news however, is that last week the usually grumpy Eli was replaced with a newer model that’s really quite happy most of the time. As you might have seen from our Twitter, Eli got to experience an upper GI on Wednesday, July 1. We had suspected that he had reflux, and upon describing his symptoms to his pediatrician she agreed that something might be not quite right. The upper GI confirmed it and he’s now on Zantac twice a day.

Now, we’ve heard other parents talk about reflux, and how within a few days it was like they had a totally different kid. I was expecting something, but nothing as dramatic as what happened. Within two doses, little Eli – the baby that would cry and scream bloody murder if you even thought about sitting down with him (much less putting him down on his own) – was suddenly smiling all the time. He now enjoys his swing and his bouncy seat. He sleeps – during the day! It’s crazy!

Needless to say, we’re pretty happy with the outcome (and so is Eli).

Enjoy the pictures! As soon as I get the camera and Wendi’s phone here with me I’ll grab some more.
